Over 13,000 citizens requested ambulance last week

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/- On 19–25 April, 13,541 requests for emergency medical assistance were registered at the Dispatching Department of the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.

According to the Center, the last week there has been a decrease in requests due to respiratory emergencies - 2,642 calls, about 20% less than in the first week of April. Neurological emergencies - 1,748 requests and 1,177 calls due to various traumas.

During this period, 60 people suffered as a result of the 43 road accidents on the country's routes. At the same time, the AMU teams provided first aid to 11 people who were intoxicated with carbon monoxide or dioxide, 10 people who suffered alcohol intoxication and to 20 people who were intoxicated with drugs.

After providing first aid, 4,452 adults and 923 minors were transported assisted to the emergency departments of hospitals in the country to continue treatment.
