Ecological campaign supported by Austria held in Cantemir

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/- An ecological education campaign is carried out in Antonești, Cantemir district. The action is part of a project to involve citizens in community development and environmental issues, supported by the government of Austria.

The main goal of the campaign is to plant trees in the recreation area. It is supported by farmers and volunteers of the locality. "We enjoy every change for the better in our locality. This land has been in a disastrous state for several years, or the proper arrangement by planting trees is welcome and even necessary ", Antonești resident Ion Dănăilă said.

The campaign will last by mid-autumn 2021 and focus on educating the population in environmental protection, community development planning and solid waste management. The project is funded by the Austrian Development Agency, from the funds of the Cooperation Development Program of the Government of Austria, implemented by the Center for Educational and Community Development.
