Moldovan president congratulates residents of Gagauz autonomy on Hederlez holiday

Chisinau, 6 May /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today conveyed a congratulatory message to the residents of Gagauzia on the Hederlez holiday, the presidential press service has reported.

„The holiday Hederlez is marked in Gagauzia today – the day of spring, renewal and beginning of a new life, people’s traditions, unforgettable songs and dances, delicious dishes and certainly, the famous horses races Altîn At! I congratulate the residents of Gagauzia and I wish them, first of all, good health, well-being and flourishing,’’ Maia Sandu’s message reads.

The head of state noted that, because of the pandemic, the events from this year on the occasion of the Hederlez holiday took place online. ‘’I hope that we will soon be able to see each other together!’’ President Maia Sandu added.
