Press specifications by Moldova's Foreign Affairs Ministry on worsening of security situation in Middle East

Chisinau, 12 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE) keeps a close eye with deep concern on the worsening of the security situation in the Middle East. The head of the Moldovan diplomacy, Aureliu Ciocoi, condemned the launch, without discernment, of missiles from the Gaza Strip against Israeli civilian objects, the MAEIE public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
The MAEIE press bureau informs that Moldova’s Embassy in Tel-Aviv works as normal. The usual schedule of providing consular services to Moldovan citizens settled in Israel is maintained. Concomitantly, a phone line is activated for emergency situations, where the embassy’ team provide consultations to Moldovan fellow countrymen. The emergency number is +97237770544. At the moment, in communication with the Israeli authorities, there is no information about citizens of Moldova hit by bombardments.
As to the massive launch of missiles against Israeli cities, which took place on 11 and 12 May, MAEIE reiterates the recommendation to the Moldovans settled in Israel to keep a close eye and strictly follow the directives of security announced by the Israeli authorities.
