Everyone who wants to get vaccinated can do so starting today, MSMPS says

Chisinau, 19 May /MOLDPRES/- The National Vaccination Coordination Committee decided today to fully launch the third stage of vaccination against COVID-19. State Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection / MSMPS / Denis Cernelea made the statement during a press conference.

All people who want to get vaccinated against the new virus have access to serum starting today in all vaccination centers in the country. People are urged to consult a family doctor or to make an appointment through the platform www.vaccinare.gov.md.

According to the latest data, there is a decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases by 20% compared to last week. This is due to the vaccination process among the population. So far, 253,310 doses of vaccine have been administered, which means a vaccination rate of 6.3%.

At the same time, the morbidity rate among medical staff has decreased by 90% since the beginning of the vaccination campaign.

To boost the vaccination process, the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy Nicolae Testemitanu will organize a vaccination marathon against COVID-19 on 21-23 May. Also, starting today, a vaccination center was opened on the territory of the Central Market in the capital, where all those interested can get vaccinated showing only the identity card.
