Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/- The academic year 2020-2021 ends today in schools in Moldova. The activities dedicated to the last bell are organized under the decisions of the Extraordinary Territorial Commissions of Public Health, depending on the degree of alert established for each locality and the indicators of COVID-19 incidence.

According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), the schedule and form of the completion of the school year was established locally, and the festivities have been taking place since last week.

"Some schools have already had the last bell to avoid congestion, but most have stayed with the traditional variant and will end the school year on 31 May. At the same time, other festive activities for pupils during 31 May will not be admitted inside the educational institutions ", MECC sources said.

According to the National Examination Commission, for the 2021 session, 93 Baccalaureate Centers were approved, of which 31 will be in Chisinau. Given total number of candidates, only one Baccalaureate Center was set up in 17 districts. In the previous session, the exams were held in 88 baccalaureate centers.
