Exhibition of drawings titled, Vaccines get us closer, inaugurated in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 4 June /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of children’s drawings titled, Vaccines get us closer, was inaugurated in the Stefan cel Mare public garden from Chisinau today.     

The most beautiful drawings were presented at the exhibition, which show the benefits of the immunization. The drawings were made by children from Moldova at a contest of painting and drawing, launched in the context of marking the European Immunization Week 2021 in Moldova.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, a state secretary at the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), Denis Cernelea, said that this contest had been held on 26 April – 14 May. As many as 261 pupils from all over Moldova participated in the competition and 25 of the most successful drawings were selected for the exhibition.   

According to the official, the contest’s goal was to inform parents and children about the benefits of the vaccination. ‘’Vaccines represent the best investment in children’s future. The neglect of the vaccination can lead to tragic consequences. The vaccines save lives and get us closer to each other,’’ Denis Cernelea stressed.    

The exhibition titled, Vaccines get us closer, is organized by MSMPS and the Education, Culture and Research Ministry, along with the National Public Health Agency, with the support of the European Union, World Health Organization and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Moldova. It will be opened till 1 July.
