Moldovan deputy premier for reintegration pays working visit to northern Rezina town

Chisinau, 17 June /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Olga Cebotari today paid a working visit to the northern Rezina town, placed in the Security Zone, where she discussed with representatives of the local public administration of the first and second levels, de-concerted authorities, territorial office of the State Chancellery, medical staff and teachers from the district, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.      

The sides tackled up-to-date subjects for the Rezina town and the settlements from the district, ways and possible measures necessary to be taken to solve the current problems.

In particular, the interlocutors referred to the improvement of the education system and providing more facilities to young people from both banks of Dniester, enhancing the access to a wide range of social services, development of the road infrastructure, free movement and impact of the projects financed through the programme of activities for the country’s reintegration (PART) on the residents from the Rezina district and the Transnistrian region.    

Deputy PM Olga Cebotari and representatives of the local public administration and medical staff of the Rezina District Hospital approached subjects on combating the coronavirus infection and immunizing the residents with the anti-COVID-19 vaccine. She drew attention to the free movement of the medical personnel and the access of the residents from both banks of Dniester to medical assistance.  

Subsequently, Olga Cebotari visited the Olimp theoretical lyceum from Rezina – an institutions where pupils from the Rabnita district and other settlements placed on the left banks of Dniester study. The lyceum benefited from projects financed through PART worth 2.64 million lei during 2017-2021.  

Another object of strategic importance for the Rezina district, as well as for their neighbour districts, visited by the deputy prime minister, was the Unit of Rescuers and Firemen from Rezina.   

The shed from the settlement was made available for use in 2018, after being renovated completely, with state budget allocations and through the fund for reintegration. Just as in the previous years, the Unit of Rescuers and Firemen from Rezina will benefit from financing worth 800,000 lei provided through PART (Government Decision 68/2021) this year as well.  

At the same time, Olga Cebotari went to the Rezina-Rabnita motor bridge – a national strategic object which connects the two banks of Dniester.  

At the end of the visit, the deputy prime minister gave assurances that the central public authorities would further support the residents from the Rezina district to overcome the difficulties faced.
