Hydrologists warn about increase Dniester river level on Grigoriopol-Talmaza segment

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has informed about a hydrological warning of increase in the Dniester river level for 22-25 June.
According to SHS hydrologists, the forecast is in connection with the increase in the overflow of water in the Dnestrovsk Reservoir (Dniester river) up to 500 cubic metres per second.
„The hydrological centre forecasts for 22-25 June an increase in the water level by 0.3-1 metre on the segment between the Grigoriopol town and Talmaza village against 21 June. The water will flow in the limits of the minor bed,’’ SHS said.
In the context, the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry warns that ‘’the local public administration, economic agents, in the subordination of which there are reservoirs, should pay attention to the state of dams, bridges and water evacuation ways.’’
The State Hydrometeorological Service forecast air temperatures of up to +33 Celsius degrees and rains of various intensity in the central and southern Moldova, thunderstorm rains in some regions.
