National Costume Festival held in Cubani, Glodeni

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/- The second edition of the National Costume Festival took place yesterday in Cubani village, Glodeni district. Attending the event were sheep breeders, local craftsmen and local producers from the region.

The event's agenda included an exhibition of traditional products, a folk show, a fair of local producers, competitions, etc.

The festival was organized by the Local Action Group (GAL) Stâncile Prutului in partnership with GAL Drumul Gospodarilor, the Culture and Tourism Section of the Glodeni District Council and the Cubani town hall.

"We really want to resume our agenda until the pandemic. Under these conditions, local producers are in great need to promote their goods in order to return to normal ", sources from the organizers specified at the request of MOLDPRES.

The event is part of the activities of the project "Oleacă de Moldova" within the Fund for Partnerships LEADER-EU 2021, Component I - Regional Forums, of the project LEADER approach for rural prosperity in Moldova. It is funded by the European Union and Polish Aid, implemented by Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova in partnership with the National LEADER Network of the Republic of Moldova. Strategic partner - Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment of the Republic of Moldova.

Currently, several localities in our country are noted as hosts of festivals dedicated to various traditional products and activities for Moldova. Thus, in the Republic of Moldova there are festivals of apple, potato, strawberry, flower, grape, tree, pumpkin, fisherman, honey, plum, peach, pie, sarmale, etc.
