Moldovan cabinet's meeting scheduled for today postponed over lack of quorum

Chisinau, 7 July /MOLDPRES/ - A cabinet meeting, planned for today, did not take place over the lack of quorum. Acting Prime Minister Aureliu Ciocoi made statements to this effect.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the following drafts were to be considered on the meeting’s agenda:
- allocation to the Central Electoral Commission of 22.468 million lei needed for the organization and holding of the snap parliamentary elections due on 11 July 2021;
- providing a one-off allowance worth 100,000 lei to 23 families of medical system’s employees who died in the fight against Covid-19. The earmarking of the 2.3 million lei will be the first disbursement of financial means to this end; earlier, the state has been providing compensations only to employees of the state’s institutions hit by Covid-19 at the working place.
- the approval of plans on admission to higher education institutions with financing from the state budget for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The acting PM proposed to resume the government meeting on 9 July 2021.
