Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - The wine brand, Wine of Moldova. A living legend, will be much more recognized and Moldova will become more appreciated for the production of quality wines all over the world. This was possible due to exchange of information and a closer cooperation between the National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) and the International Organization of Vine and Wine (IOV), on which the heads of the two structures, Cristina Frolov and Luigi Moio, respectively, agreed.
At the same time, as a result of this cooperation, Moldova and its wine products will benefit from all needed platforms for a maximal visibility among the international specialty community and a first effect expected will be the reaching of a higher share of exports of Moldovan wines abroad.
These are just some of the goals set and the bilateral activities which will be undertaken in the next years and which were formulated at a meeting between the ONVV director and the new IOV president, Luigi Moio, - a professor of oenology at the Naples University, Italy. He was elected to this office for a four-year mandate at the 19th issue of the IOV General Assembly.
„Moldova enjoys the appreciation of the competent international community and this fact encourages us even more to undertake new activities, which target the improvement of the Moldovan wines’ quality. Doubtlessly, in several years, internationally, the Wine of Moldova brand will be synonym of highly qualitative wines with a special ‘’terroir.’’ At the meetings, the IOV representatives, Moldova’s foreign partners showed openness to support our country in its efforts to turn to good account even more the instruments and platforms of promotion available for the small wine-making countries, such as Moldova,’’ Cristina Frolov said.
