Moldovan deputy premier meets heads of diplomatic missions

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/- At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu held first meeting today with representatives of the diplomatic staff accredited to Chisinau. On this occasion, the Moldovan official presented to foreign diplomats the vision of the current government on the foreign and European integration policy of the Republic of Moldova, the MAEIE press service has reported.
Popescu emphasized the determination of the new Executive to have an active, consistent and pragmatic foreign policy for the benefit of the citizens.
A distinct priority was to ensure a favorable, constructive and non-conflicting international and regional climate for successful implementation of reforms, fight against corruption, recovery of the economy and social sector.
Bilaterally and multilaterally, diplomatic actions will be boosted to strengthen existing partnerships, foster activity in international organizations and develop good relations with the countries of the world.
The official thanked the heads of diplomatic missions for consistent assistance to the Republic of Moldova in combating the COVID-19 pandemic.
