Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - Education and Research Minister Anatolie Topala has asked the managers of the vocational schools to ensure the carrying out of the new school year in conditions of maximal safety for pupils and teachers. For their part, the headmasters of the vocational schools on 25 August informed the ministry’s leadership about the degree of the schools’ preparation for the new academic year.

The ministry demanded that each institution observes the Instruction on the measures of organizing the work of the elementary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, vocational schools and higher education institutions (private and public) for the 2021-2022 academic year, in conditions of epidemiological safety, in order to prevent the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The document was approved by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission (CNESP) at a meeting on 23 August 2021.

„We have responsibility to ensure a sound environment for the new generation; therefore, please, provide correct information about the immunization. We urge teachers to be vaccinated, in order not to be obliged to endlessly experience the consequences of the pandemic,’’ Anatolie Topala said.

Under the CNESP decision from 23 August, the 2021-2022 academic year will start with the physical presence of pupils and students; yet, without festivities and with the strict observance of the authorities’ instructions.
