Moldovan PM introduces new director of Public Property Agency to staff

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today introduced the new director of the Public Property Agency (APP), Eugeniu Cozonac, to the staff. The new official was appointed to office at a cabinet meeting on 25 August, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The PM said Cozonac had a rich professional experience in the management of more big IT companies from the United States and United Kingdom. She noted that the government had great expectations from APP as regards the management of the enterprises owned by the state.

„We have many problems which we must solve – the Chisinau Arena, granting of Chisinau Airport, Moldova’s Lottery, etc. We should improve these enterprises, make them work, bring again the value which they can have and, through them, bring revenues to the state budget. I want us to firmly go in the direction of development, introduce efficient mechanisms of corporate governance at the state enterprises, bring professionals to their leadership and be proud of the results of their work,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said.

Eugeniu Cozonac thanked for the trust given by the government, noting that he would have a pragmatic approach at the leadership of the Agency, in order to get an as higher efficiency as possible in its work.  

„A new chapter in APP’s activity starts today. I hope that we will be an example. I want us to have a sound competition and to be proud of what we do and the results of the APP’s work should be reflected in the improvement of the each Moldovan citizen’s well-being,’’ Cozonac said.
