Date of General Assembly of Judges changed

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/- The General Assembly of Judges will take place on 3 December 2021. Members of the Superior Council of Magistracy approved a decision on the matter today.
According to the CSM decision, the Assembly, which was scheduled for October 1, was postponed to December 3.
„The draft agenda of the meeting of the General Assembly of Judges of 3 December is set up. The election of six permanent members and two alternate members of the CSM is established, from the Supreme Court of Justice - 1, Courts of Appeal - 1, Courts - 4. Election of four members in the College for the selection and career of the judge - 2 judges representing the CSJ, 1 - the Court of Appeal and 1 - the Courts. Election of three members to evaluate the performance of judges, from CSJ - 1, Courts of Appeal - 1 and 1 representing the Courts. The election of three alternate members of the Disciplinary Board - 1 from the Courts and two representing the CSJ ”, CSM head Dorel Musteață said.
Previously, 21 judges have applied for participation in competition for the position of permanent member of the Superior Council of Magistracy.
