Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/- The Public Association National Environmental Center, with the financial support of the Government of Sweden, launched the proposal for tenders for non-governmental organizations under the Small Grants Program "Environment, adaptation to climate change and ecosystems". The deadline for submitting applications is 7 November.

The small grants program will support local initiatives and actions that contribute to improving the environment and, in the long run, lead to improved living standards. The program will help improve the state of the environment in ecosystems and reduce the adverse effects of pollution and other human activities.

The project proposal will support initiatives in the geographical regions where the National Environmental Center carries out activities and implements projects. The eligible geographical regions are the communities in the river basin of the rivers Bâc, Răut, Larga, Tigheci, Ialpug, Naslavcea-Vasilcău.

The implementation period of the small grants program is November 2021 - November 2023. Depending on the experience, the organization will submit the project proposal to one of the project funding limits: from 100 thousand lei to 170 thousand lei. The project must be submitted by a single applicant. In the case of local partnerships (with other NGOs, local authorities, etc.), an Agreement with local partners must be attached upon request.

"It is assumed that such partnerships will ensure a resonant impact and greater involvement in project implementation," say the project organizers.
