New batch of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine reached Chisinau

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/- A batch of 42,120 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine arrived in Chisinau. The doses are to be distributed proportionally in all vaccination points in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, the serum is part of the batch of 700,830 doses purchased by the Ministry of Health through the Office of Management of External Assistance Programs. So far, ANSP has received 243,860 doses from the batch purchased by the Ministry of Health.

The acquisition was made in the context of the implementation of the Health Component of the Project Emergency Response to COVID-19 and support for micro, small and medium enterprises, in accordance with the Framework Loan Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the Council of Europe Development Bank.

In total, to date, the Republic of Moldova has received 468,450 doses of Pfizer vaccine.
