General Prosecutor's Office ordered criminal investigation of some decision-makers within Public Services Agency

Chisinau, 22 October /MOLDPRES/- Following the examination of the address of Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița, by which she notified about the allegedly illegal actions of the decision-makers of CRIS Registru and Public Services Agency, the General Prosecutor's Office ordered today to start the criminal investigation for abuse of office.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, reasonable suspicions have been set that decision-makers within the Public Services Agency have concluded fraudulent service contracts and additional agreements, without going through the public procurement procedure in order to favor a concrete economic agent.

Therefore, the circumstances in which they are suspected of unjustifiably increasing the quantity and amount of the contract for the purchase of forms with personalization technologies for identity documents in the national system of passports, driving licenses and registration certificates are investigated, which harmed the interests of the state.

At present, criminal proceedings are being carried out in the criminal case.
