Moldovan State Fiscal Service takes measures to prevent payment of salaries in envelopes, unregistered labour

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - The State Fiscal Service (SFS) in the first nine months of this year established 285 cases as to the admitting of infringements of the legislation in the labour relations sector within the activities carried out.     

According to SFS, as a result, decisions were adopted and revenues related to salary payments were additionally calculated to the budget: income tax, social insurances contributions, mandatory health insurances premiums, penalties and fines worth 20,959,171 lei, with 4,990,692 lei paid.  

„Concomitantly, to inform citizens, (employers and employees) about the risks of the phenomenon of ‘’salary in envelope’’ and unregistered labour, the State Fiscal Service, according to the action plan on the implementation of the activities of preventing and combating the phenomenon of non-declared work titled, Declare Pay the Salary Legally, carried out actions of voluntary confirmation to the tax payers identified with risk of use of (non) under-declared labour,’’ the SFS said.
