Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today moved to the Heating Supply Station (CET-Nord) from Balti, where she had a meeting with the enterprise’s management, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The PM was informed about the latest actions undertaken by the provider of thermal energy in the process of starting of the heating season. Thus, after, as a priority, the kindergartens, education and medical institutions were connected several weeks ago, since the beginning of November, about 85 per cent of the Balti city residents have received heating in homes.

„We must learn as many as possible lessons from the gas crises of last October. Now, time is time for us to think about the diversification of the energy sources and continue projects on developing the infrastructure, which also have a beneficial impact on the environment,’’ Natalia Gavrilita said at the end of the discussions.

The CET-Nord’s leadership referred to the projects implemented at the stock company with the support of European partners. Thus, two heating supply stations were constructed within the project on modernization of the system of centralized supply with thermal energy: a last-generation one of co-generation and another station equipped with a hot water boiler, which works based on bio-pellets. They managed to build also a modern station for pumping thermal agent with 3 heating supply pumps and converters with frequency, as well as the rehabilitation of the system of distribution through setting of 169 individual thermal in 130 apartment blocks.

The CET-Nord stock company provides the thermal energy 22 kindergartens, 22 schools, 7 medical institutions and 719 apartment blocks from Balti in all.
