Nearly 15,000 patients called for ambulance last week

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- In the second week of November, emergency medical teams provided first aid to 14,837 people.

According to the National Center for Prehospital Emergency Medical Assistance, citizens with respiratory emergencies most often requested an ambulance - 3,772 requests, including 1,160 IRVA (acute viral respiratory infections), followed by cardiovascular emergencies - 2,812 requests, including 53 patients with Syndrome acute coronary and neurological emergencies - 1 885 requests, of which 195 strokes.

During the period, 1,136 citizens with various traumas received first aid at the pre-hospital stage. The ambulance was called in case of 53 road accidents, as a result of which 70 people suffered.

At the same time, the ambulance doctors provided first aid to 49 patients with various intoxications, including 18 drugs, eight with carbon monoxide, six with alcohol and four with mushrooms.

Last week, 43 requests were registered due to emergencies generated by physical, chemical and environmental agents, of which 29 burns and four cases of hypothermia.
