Moldovan president handed out state distinctions to exceptional personalities

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu handed over state distinctions to personalities as appreciation of their professional success, the presidential press service has reported.

The Order of the Republic was awarded to exceptional personalities of our country for their contribution to promoting Moldova's image in the world, for the professional successes achieved, for the civic spirit they showed and for their active involvement in the life of society. The awards were presented on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of the country's Independence, according to a previously signed presidential decree, and represent a tribute to the work, talent and excellence of these people.

Also, the Order of the Republic was awarded to great personalities who are no longer with us today, as a sign of appreciation for their contribution to the establishment of the Republic of Moldova as an independent, sovereign and free state.

Also, Maia Sandu handed over distinctions to teachers from different educational institutions, and thanked them for their selflessness, professionalism, optimism and creativity. "We want to build an educational system against the challenges of the present and the future. We want to build a society that values ​​education. We can do this together, appreciating and encouraging the work of teachers who do their duty with great dedication ", Maia Sandu said.
