Constructions to be banned on territory of green areas in settlements of Moldova

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - The building of constructions on green areas in cities and villages will be banned. The cabinet today gave a positive note to the law on green areas of the urban and rural settlements. Thus, decision-makers will prevent the fraudulent intervention in the green areas, illicit schemes and acts of corruption which favoured the constructions incompatible with the grounds’ purpose, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

Therefore, only fields for sport, play and leisure, objects with cultural and artistic purpose, as well as mobile commercial units could be placed on the territory of green areas. The local public administration (APL) will issue the authorizations for the placement of the concerned objects and installations.     

Also, according to the new provisions, the constructions or the unauthorized placement of objects on green areas will be ascertained and sanctioned both by the Inspectorate for Environmental Protection and the APL.  

The document is to be submitted to parliament for consideration and approval.
