Chisinau, Nov. 30 / MOLDPRES /- The promulgation decree and the Law on amending the condition for establishing and granting aid for the cold period of the year were published today in the Official Journal and entered into force.
According to the amendments to the legislation, the minimum monthly income, based on which disadvantaged families will be able to request help for the cold period of the year, will be increased by 478.4 lei.
The document provides for the increase of the multiplier for the guaranteed average monthly income, from the index 2.2 to 2.6, which is used to establish the right to aid for the cold period of the year. Thus, the minimum monthly income, based on which disadvantaged families will be able to apply for aid for the cold period of the year, will be increased by 478.4 lei, from 2,631.2 lei to 3,109.6 lei.
About 300 thousand families will benefit from this facility. For this purpose, about 217 million lei are to be allocated from the state budget.
The government recently changed the amount of aid for the cold period of the year, increasing from 500 lei to 700 lei, for November 2021-March 2022.
