Pupils studying remotely in Chisinau

Chisinau, 6 Dec. / MOLDPRES /- More than 1,700 pupils in Chisinau continue to study remotely.

The interim head of the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sports, Adrian Pavaloi, stated at today's online meeting of the municipal services that in 20 municipal educational institutions pupils learn remotely. "There are 1,728 students in 130 classes who continue to learn remotely. The reason is due to the large number of students who are in a class and the application of anti-COVID-19 protection measures ", Pavaloi said.

Pavaloi also said that 36 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in students last week, so there are currently 1,434 students in self-isolation. "We registered a number of eight teachers infected with coronavirus last week, this is due to the fact that over 90 percent of teachers are vaccinated," he said.
