Moldova cannot evolve without Romanian state's help - diplomat says

Chisinau, Dec. 10 / MOLDPRES /- Victor Chirilă, appointed ambassador to Romania said that the Romanian state is the most important strategic partner without which Moldova cannot evolve.

In an interview with AGERPRES, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Romania, Victor Chirilă, said “Romania is the most important strategic partner without which the Republic of Moldova cannot evolve in such a way as to have an efficient democracy, a rule of law. functional, a dynamic and sustainable economy, a national security that corresponds to its ideal of a sovereign and independent state ”.

According to the diplomat, the common ideal is to be found in the European Union. "We want to have a common economic space, a common communication space, a common cultural space, a common infrastructure space, so that there are no communication barriers between our citizens," said Chirilă.

Referring to the trade relations between the two states, the official stressed that they can be improved by modernizing the transport infrastructure, especially the road and railway bridges. He voiced hope that at the next joint meeting of the two governments, due next year a new grant agreement will be signed for the Republic of Moldova, for large infrastructure projects, which are strategic for both states.
