Nearly 14,000 patients called for ambulance last week

Chisinau, 21 Dec. / MOLDPRES /-Last week of November, emergency medical teams provided first aid to 13,726 people.

According to the National Center for Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance, the most frequently requested ambulance was the citizens with cardiovascular emergencies - 2941 people, followed by 2883 patients with respiratory diseases and 1871 patients with neurological emergencies. At the same time, AMU teams were requested for 1,012 people with various injuries.

The ambulance doctors intervened in 236 patients with strokes and in 51 patients with myocardial infarction. The emergency was called to 64 people, including 14 children who were injured with various injuries after road accidents on the country's roads.

The Emergency Service received 47 calls on the grounds of toxic emergencies, including 13 cases of drug poisoning and 13 cases of carbon monoxide poisoning. On December 19, the most poisonings were registered with - eight cases, three in Chisinau, three in Edinet district and two in Taraclia district.

Also last week, six people were diagnosed with hypothermia of gr. I and II, two from Orhei and Cantemir districts and one person from Comrat and Dubasari districts. Patients between the ages of 15 and 78 were transported to the hospital.
