Best business incubator in 2021 nominated one from Ştefan Vodă

Chisinau, Dec. 23 / MOLDPRES /- The best Business Incubator (IA) in 2021 was named the one in Ștefan Vodă district. The institution has achieved the highest performance in this year's activity, and the incubation rate of the companies is about 100%.

The totals of the activity of the 11 incubators in the country were made yesterday, during a meeting, being discussed new objectives and future plans. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector (ODIMM), the Network of Incubators of Moldova (RIAM) and the administrators of the Business Incubators.

According to the manager of the Incubator from Ștefan Vodă, Adelina Barbăneagră, 25 businesses operate within the institution, of which 11 are start-ups. 14 businesses are run by young people and seven by women. Within the companies incubated in IA Ștefan Vodă, 48 jobs were created. The turnover of the 25 incubated companies amounts to over 19 million lei.

The "Business Incubator of the Year" contest is in its seventh edition, being initiated by the Organization for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector and the Network of Business Incubators of the Republic of Moldova. The competition aims to promote the successes and good practices of Business Incubators, stimulate their activity and, directly, create new opportunities for the development of small and medium enterprises in the regions.

Currently, in the eleven Business Incubators, members of RIAM, there are about 263 resident companies, of which 157 are start-ups, 143 are run by young people and 122 are run by women. In total, 830 jobs were created, of which 372 for women and 330 for young people. The Moldovan Business Incubator Network was established in 2013 by ODIMM with the support of the European Union. The members of RIAM are the Business Incubators: Ștefan-Vodă, Dubăsari, Leova, Ceadâr-Lunga, Rezina, Nisporeni, Sângerei, Soroca, Cimișlia, Cahul and Călărași.
