All electricity pillars in Chisinau to be technically examined

Chisinau, January 10 / MOLDPRES /- The public transport and communications department of Chisinau municipality will today check the technical condition of all the pillars on viaduct in the capital.

The head of the above-mentioned department, Vitalie Mihalache, said at today's online meeting that all the pillars supporting the contact line of Electric Transport Chisinau will be considered. The action will take place in the context in which yesterday, 9 January two electricity pillars fell after a trolleybus hung the steel rope and pulled behind the two pillars supporting the contact network.

As regards the condition of the bridges in the municipality, Mihalache said that the condition of most of them is satisfactory, two of them - Ismail Street and Mihai Viteazul Street need consolidation. “Two tenders were held for the consolidation of the bridge on M. Viteazul Street, but companies willing to do these works were not found. We will organize another tender", he said.

At the same time, mayor Ion Ceban asked praetors and directors of the municipal enterprises to carry out the evaluation of all the electricity pillars in the city to prevent possible dangers.
