Chisinau aspires to become European Youth Capital-2025

Chisinau, January 21 / MOLDPRES /- Chisinau wants to get the title of European Youth Capital.

The Directorate-General for Education, Youth and Sport, together with the Municipal Youth Center will set up by February 21 a new concept of activities to be submitted to the European Youth Forum to obtain the title Chisinau - European Youth Capital 2025.

According to Andrei Pavaloi, the interim head of the above-mentioned department, the capital's participation in this competition is a well-deserved one, because in 2021 Chisinau was included in the top 4 finalist cities, along with Ghent (Belgium), Lviv (Ukraine) and Veszprem (Hungary). "During the evaluation of the competition, the jury noted the desire of Chisinau to obtain this title as well as the good initiatives planned in the program of the European Youth Capital 2024", mentioned Pavaloi.

The title European Youth Capital is offered in the competition organized by the European Youth Forum of a winning city for a year, and in the European Youth Capital several activities and programs for youth are to be organized.
