Chisinau, January 25 / MOLDPRES /- The Official Journal today published presidential decree on promulgation of the Law amending the Law on advocacy.

At 21 January special session, Parliament voted on amendments to the Law on advocacy.

Thus, persons who have at least ten years of experience in the position of judge or prosecutor will be exempted from carrying out the professional internship, if, within six months after the resignation from the respective position, they have requested the participation in the qualification exam.

Under amendments, the lawyers will be able to be detained without the consent of the Council of the Union of Lawyers of the Republic of Moldova (UAM), in case of crimes.
