CSP member elected today

Chisinau, 3 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Andrei Cebotari was elected today as a member of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) for a four-year term. His candidacy was voted by 56 deputies.

Andrei Cebotari was nominated winner of the competition for the selection of candidates for the position of member of the CSP.

Under the legislation, the Parliament elects, by competition, one of the four members of the CSP from among the civil society. Candidates for civil society membership of the CSP must have at least three years' higher legal education and experience in law.

Also today, the deputies appointed Angela Colomiicenco as deputy head of the National Center for Personal Data Protection for a term of five years.
