Moldovan parliament makes amendments to law on electric energy

Chisinau, 3 February /MOLDPRES/ - The national legislation in the electric energy sector has been adjusted to the EU norms. The MPs today made amendments to the law on electric energy.
Thus, the lawmakers introduced to the legislation a mechanism of ensuring the procurement of electric energy from at least two sources, as measure of enhancing the safety in the supply with electric energy.
At the same time, the parliament changed the requirements as to the supply of electric energy by the provider of the universal service and the last option provider and the obligations of the participants in the electric energy market in connection with the balancing.
