Chisinau, Feb. 4 / MOLDPRES /- The Official Journal today published the government's decision to increase scholarships for pupils and students by 6.9%.

According to the document, the amount will be increased for the following categories of scholarships: performance and special scholarships for talented students from republican high schools-boarding schools with arts profile and talented students from grades IV-IX of the National College of Choreography; scholarships for students in higher education (cycle I, cycle II, integrated studies, medical and pharmaceutical education), students in post-secondary and post-secondary non-tertiary technical vocational education institutions; scholarships awarded in secondary technical vocational education.

There will also be increased scholarships for higher education students - cycle III (PhD), resident doctors, clinical secondary doctors, as well as for postdoctoral students; scholarships (monthly balances) for pupils and students of educational institutions in military and public order; merit scholarships for higher education students (cycle I, cycle II, integrated studies, medical and pharmaceutical education) and students from non-tertiary and post-secondary post-secondary technical vocational education institutions.

The increase is applied starting with January 2022. The amount provided for this purpose is 17.4 million lei.
