Winter conditions on roads in Moldova

Chisinau, Feb. 8 / MOLDPRES /- The maintenance works of the national roads in winter continue in the regions where the interventions of the territorial units of Roads company are needed.

According to the State Road Administration (ASD), nine special machines and 15 road workers were involved in the technological process, which spread 60 tons of anti-skid material. "Currently, the accessibility of road infrastructure is ensured in winter conditions on the entire national road network," says ASD.

In this context, the State Road Administration warns drivers to comply with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations on equipping vehicles with appropriate tires and adapting the speed regime to winter traffic conditions.

In case of difficulties, in order to request the intervention of the road users, the traffic participants can call the numbers: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.

According to meteorologists, rains, sleet and snow are forecast throughout the country today and tomorrow. The air temperature will reach up to +9 degrees during the day. The night will still be cold: north to -5 and south -3 degrees Celsius.
