Used car parts entering likely to be allowed in Moldova

Chisinau, 9 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Entering used car parts and accessories may be allowed in Moldova. Parliament's economy, budget and finance committee today approved a bill to that effect.

The initiative belongs to a group of deputies of the Parliamentary Faction Action and Solidarity Party and aims to eliminate the bans on the import of second-hand car parts.

According to the authors, the legal regulation of the import of used car parts will eliminate smuggling, ensure fair competition and, at the same time, provide a new source of revenue to the state budget, by accumulating financial means from the application of taxes and customs duties.

To become law, the bill is to be debated and voted in the Legislature.
