Legislation on alcoholic products could be amended

Chisinau, 9 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- The regulatory framework for the manufacture and movement of alcoholic products could be changed. A draft law in this regard was approved today by the Agriculture and Food Industry Commission of the Legislature.

According to the authors of the project, the changes aim to create the conditions for the development of this sector and to ensure the manufacture of more competitive products on the market.

Another proposed change is to include the obligation to submit a manufacturing and circulation declaration, which will contain data for each product category on stock at the beginning of the year, production, marketing and stock at the end of the year.

The bill also provides for the exclusion of the obligation to apply the stopper with dispersion to the bottling of strong alcoholic beverages.
