Moldovan conductor, violonist passed away

Chisinau, 11 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- Conductor and violinist Gheorghe Banariuc, composer and arranger of popular music, Artist Emeritus, passed away last night at the age of 71.
In 1991, Gheorghe Banariuc was awarded the honorary title of Artist Emeritus of the Republic of Moldova.
In 2015, he was awarded the Golden Horseshoe trophy for his lifelong career in the service of folk song and for the merit of being the author of many songs that have become representative of the national heritage, in the composition category.
