Number of pupils sick with COVID-19 decreases in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 714 pupils infected with COVID-19 are registered in educations institutions from Chisinau, less against the last week.  

At a today’s online meeting of the Chisinau city hall’s services, the deputy head of the education, youth and sport general department of the city hall, Adrian Pavaloi, said that only 714 out of the 96,435 pupils who attend the municipal education institutions from the capital were put in hospital, positive for the new-type coronavirus. ‘’The figure is decreasing; last week, there were by 371 pupils more,’’ Pavaloi noted.     

At the same time, the number of teachers infected with Sars-Cov-2 dropped too, with only 117 teachers positive for coronavirus recorded. ‘’This is a decrease by 152 cases against the last week,’’ the quoted source said.   

The official specified that, following controls carried out by specialists of the education, youth and sport general department in municipal education institutions, decision-makers ascertained that these institutions were supplied with hygiene products and the measures of anti-epidemic prevention, established by the city hall, were observed.
