SIS, SPPS, SV, IGPF to come with annual reports to parliament

Chisinau, 15 Feb. / MOLDPRES /- The Intelligence and Security Service, the State Protection and Guard Service, the Customs Service and the General Inspectorate of the Border Police will come with annual reports in the Legislature. The actions are set out in the 2022 Parliamentary Control Business Plan.

According to the plan approved by the National Security, Defense and Public Order Committee of the Parliament, the areas in which the parliamentary control will be carried out are: national security; data security, IT and cybernetics; national defense; public order; anti-corruption and integrity; the negotiation process for the territorial regulation of the Republic of Moldova.

The annual activity reports for the previous year of the Intelligence and Security Service, the State Protection and Guard Service, the Customs Service and the General Inspectorate of the Border Police will be heard.

The agenda of the activities also includes the hearig of the final report of the General Prosecutor's Office on the special investigation activity for the previous year and the hearing of the Public Services Agency on the implementation of the Law on identity documents in the national passport system.

At the same time, it is expected to hear the competent authorities on the implementation of the Law on State Secrecy, the Law on Aviation Security, the Law on Electronic Signatures and Electronic Documents, the Law on Preventing and Combating Cybercrime etc.

The Parliamentary Decision on the approval of the Information Security Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for 2019–2024 and the Action Plan for its implementation will also be subject to legislative control.
