As many as 800 Ukrainians ask for asylum in Moldova

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/ - More than 112,000 citizens of Moldova entered the territory of Moldova on the period 24 February – 1 March 2022, of whom about 60,000 left the country’s territory.

According to data by Interior Minister Ana Revenco, over 51,000 citizens of Ukraine remained in Moldova.  

The biggest flow of people born in Ukraine was registered at the border crossing points Palanca, Tudora, Otaci and Criva.

On these days, 1,500 people asked for asylum at the Migration and Asylum Bureau, of which 800 applications were submitted by Ukrainian citizens.  (BMA)

Revenco informed that today the first consignments of assistance for refugees had been brought. A batch of blankets, pillows came to Chisinau, which will be distributed to placement centres.
