Moldovan president has phone conversation with Azeri counterpart

Chisinau, March 3 / MOLDPRES /- President Maia Sandu had a telephone conversation this morning with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
According to the Presidency's press service, the two heads of state discussed developments in the region and the impact of the security crisis on Moldova, as well as our country's efforts to manage the flow of refugees from Ukraine, including the repatriation of Azerbaijani citizens. Officials have expressed support for restoring peace in the region.
The agenda of the talks also referred to the actions needed to increase the economic resilience of our country, including by strengthening trade relations and in the energy sector.
