Moldova's National Public Health Agency confirms six cases of flu in last week

Chisinau, 17 March /MOLDPRES/ - The National Public Health Agency (ANSP) has informed that six cases of infection with seasonal flu were confirmed in the last week, by 4.7 per cent less cases against the week before.

According to ANSP, four cases were registered in Chisinau, one case in Cimislia and Rezina each. Three of the patients infected are minors.

Twenty nine samples were investigated at ANSP laboratories in terms of the presence of flu viruses, non-flu viruses and SARS-CoV-2, through the molecular biological way; the presence of the virus SARS-CoV-2 was confirmed in two samples and the presence of the flu virus AH3N2 was confirmed in three samples.

As many as 337 flu cases were registered in Moldova on the period 4 October 2021 – 13 March 2022.
