Chisinau, 30 March /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved the concept of the state geographic information system, Topic-related geo-portal for the space data of the Land Relations and Cadaster Agency (ARFC) and the Regulation on the way of its keeping, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The draft’s goal is the migration of space data and of the powers of the topic-related geo-portal (www.geoportal.md) to the topic-related geo-portal for space data of the Land Relations and Cadaster Agency (www.moldova-map.md), for which the domain www.geodata.gov.md will be given. This will cut the expenses for keeping information systems and will ensure the free access and the availability of space data through the network services for all private people and legal entities.

The concept establishes the basic tasks and principles of the geo-portal, the normative and legal framework, the basic duties, principal outlines, organizational structure, the information and technological space of the geo-portal, as well as the safety and security of the information of the space data. At the same time, the regulation sees the conditions and rules of development, work and maintaining the topic-related geo-portal for the sets of data of ARFC.

The draft stipulates that the Land Relations and Cadaster Agency, in a period of nine months after the entrance into force of the concerned decision, should ensure the transfer of all space data on the geo-portal www.geodata.gov.md. The financial means needed for the development, maintenance and work of the geo-portal will be allocated from the and within the limit of the budget for the Land Relations and Cadaster Agency.
