Moldovan parliament appoints members of commisison on assessing candidates for membership in self-governing bodies of judges, prosecutors

Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/- Parliament appointed the six members of the independent commission for assessing integrity of candidates for membership in the self-governing bodies of judges and prosecutors.

Thus, Nadejda Hriptievschi, Tatiana Răducanu, Vitalie Miron - appointed at the proposal of the parliamentary factions and Victoria Henley, Nona Tsotoria, Herman Von Hebel - appointed at the proposal of the development partners will be part of the commission.

Also today, the Legislature adopted the decision on confirmation of the nominal composition of the commission.

In accordance with the Law on some measures for selection of candidates for membership in the self-administrative bodies of judges and prosecutors of March 10, 2022, the Commission consists of six members. Three members, citizens of the Republic of Moldova are appointed at the proposal of the parliamentary factions, respecting the proportional representation of the majority and the opposition, approved with the vote of 3/5 of the elected deputies. Three other members are nominated by development partners, approved by a vote of 3/5 of the elected members.
