Moldovan head of state meets more MPs of German Bundestag, European Parliament

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) group from the German Bundestag, Gunther Krichbaum, and the members of the Christian Social Union (CSU) group of the German legislative body, led by Alexander Dobrindt, the presidential press service has reported.

Also today, the head of state discussed with European lawmakers: the rapporteur of the European Parliament for Moldova (Renew), Dragos Tudorache, and the leader of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D), Iratxe García Pérez.

The discussions regarded the security challenges in the region and the economic and humanitarian consequences of the war in Ukraine for Moldova, as well as the agenda of reforms and the country’s plans for the carrying out of the European integration. The Moldovan president noted that the authorities were resolute in implementing the reforms underway in diverse sectors and thus to give a new impetus to the European integration process.
