Chisinau, 13 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry (MIDR) informs that, as a result of the approaches made by the Romanian authorities, in order to facilitate the transport of goods from Moldova to the Constanta port, the Transports and Infrastructure Ministry of Romania approved new derogations from the enforcement of the tariffs provided for the exceeding of the maximal mass and dimensions allowed, applied by the National Company of Road Infrastructure Administration of Romania (CNAIR).

The derogations are enforced for the road vehicles registered in Romania and Moldova, in certain conditions.

They see that ‘’the vehicles are made up of a vehicle tractor registered in Romania or Moldova, no matter the registration country and the trailer towed by them; the vehicles are made up of a vehicle with 3 axes, which transport one or two containers or mobile boxes, with an overall maximal length of up to 45 feet, if the vehicle’s total mass is smaller or equal to 47 tons at the most and the height is smaller or at equal to 4.50 metres at the most.’’

Also, ‘’the vehicles will be made up of a vehicle with 3 axes with trailer with 2 or 3 axes, which carry one or more containers or mobile boxes, with an overall maximal length of up to 45 feet, if the total mass of the vehicle is smaller or equal to 50 tons at the most and the height is smaller or equal to 4.50 metres at the most; the masses on axes of the  vehicles, stipulated in the points 2 and 3, do not exceed the maximal masses on axes which can be authorized in movement, just as they are provided for in the Article 41 (paragraph 8) of the Government’s Ordinance No 43/1997 on the regime of roads, re-published, with the subsequent amendments and completions.’’

The special transport authorizations issued till the date of the order’s adoption keep their validity term and the authorized route is valid to the destination place and back.
