U.S. Agency for International Development provides scholarships for professionals from light industry, clothes design

Chisinau, 27 April /MOLDPRES/ - Professionals from the light industry, digital modeling, soft robotics, manufacture and biology can benefit from scholarships worth 7.5 thousand dollars each, within a programme launched by the Future Technologies Activity, financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Sweden, in partnership with ZIPHOUSE and the Academy of Textiles and Technologies (Fabricademy) from Barcelona. In 2022, five scholarships will be provided.       

The deadline for submitting the application is 31 July. The winners of the Fabricademy programme of scholarships will be announced on 10 August. The list of winners will be published on the webpages and social networks of Fabricademy Global, ZIPHOUSE, Fablab Chisinau and Innovate Moldova.  

The programme with a duration of six months will start in next September and will be carried out online for the theoretical part, being combined with practical classes with access to equipment and technologies. The participants will be guided by international and local experts and will carry out the activities in a fully equipped laboratory environment. They will have access to the infrastructure of ZIPHOUSE, FABLAB Chisinau and Microlab and will be able to cooperate with factories from Moldova.   

The Future Technologies Activity, financed by USAID and Sweden, backs the development of the digital, creative and environment friendly economy in Moldova. The project, with a budget of 32.8 million dollars and a duration of implementation of 5 years (2021-2026), promotes, in a team with key experts, innovation and new technologies in the following strategic sectors for Moldova: information and communication technologies (ICT), engineering, light industry, creative industries and digital media, in order to enhance their competitiveness on the global market.
