Customs Service revenues amounted to over 692.8 million lei last week

Chisinau, May 3. / MOLDPRES /- Customs Service revenues to the state budget amounted on 26 April -2 May to over 692.8 million lei, up by 9.8% than the budget burden set for this period.

According to the institution, during the reference period, individuals introduced goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, being received payments amounting to over 10 million lei, which represents 1.4% of the total amount collected for that period.

Last week, 9,546 customs declarations were made, and the flow of means of transport was 82,293 crossings. The busiest customs posts remain Leuseni and Sculeni with 24,165 and 17,542 crossings, respectively.

Regarding the fight against fraud, during the period covered, 45 violations of the customs legislation were found and fines in the amount of over 190 thousand lei were applied. The most frequent violations refer to the exceeding of the term on the territory of the Republic of Moldova of the means of transport with foreign numbers, declared by action, according to the quoted source.

Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected 9.8 billion lei from the state budget, with a 23.2% increase compared to the revenues from the corresponding period of 2021.
